The charging circuitry will stop all charging when the battery reaches cacpacity. ![]() One other thing - you cannot overcharge it. I would not panic and replace the battery until OS X gives you a warning to do so. Your battery is showing an unusual drop in capacity for only three cycles, but it may still have enough life for your uses for awhile yet. And no, there is no way to reverse the affects of that prolonged idle storage. It may be that this battery will degrade much faster because of that long period of idle storage. Especially if they leave the factory at or near full charge, then sit on a shelf that long. Lithium cells do NOT survive sitting idle and unused for long periods of time like that. ![]()
